Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the use of this website and the private transportation services offered by JC Travel VIP in Ecuador. Requesting a quote or confirming a booking implies acceptance of these terms.

1. Services

JC Travel VIP organizes private transportation with a chauffeur, airport transfers, tours, executive and corporate transportation, and the coordination of helicopter flights and related services. The scope of each service is defined in the written proposal.

2. Quotes and written confirmation

Each request is answered with a written proposal that specifies the service, vehicle, route, price, inclusions and conditions. As a company policy, all quotes, agreements and confirmations must be in writing; agreements made only by phone are not considered valid.

This measure keeps a clear record of the agreed conditions, avoids misunderstandings and ensures the service is properly organized.

3. Booking policy

The deposit required to confirm a booking depends on the type of service:

• High-end vehicles: payment of 100% of the total value is required to confirm the booking.
• Helicopter service: payment of 100% of the total value is required to confirm the booking.
• Other vehicles: a deposit of 50% of the total value is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is paid according to the conditions agreed with JC Travel VIP.

We recommend requesting your booking at least seven days in advance, and earlier for weddings, large groups or high-demand dates. Last-minute requests depend on availability.

4. Payments and payment methods

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club and Discover credit and debit cards are accepted, subject to acceptance by each issuing institution, as well as PayPal.

Payments made by credit card carry an additional surcharge of 6% on the total value of the booking. PayPal payments may carry an additional fee, which is not included in the agreed price and is communicated before payment.

5. Changes, cancellations and refunds

Changes to dates, schedules, routes or passengers can be requested and are reviewed for feasibility, together with any adjustment in duration or price. Cancellations are subject to the following refund policy:

• Five days or more before the service: 80% of the total value booked is refunded. The remaining 20% is retained to cover logistics costs.
• Within the five days before the service: 50% of the total value booked is refunded.
• On the day of the service: no refund is made.

6. Information provided

The accuracy of the information supplied (flight details, addresses, number of passengers and luggage, special items) is the responsibility of the client. The vehicle is selected based on that information; changes may require a different vehicle.

7. Waiting time and delays

Flights are tracked to adjust the reception in case of delays. The included waiting time and the conditions for additional time are stated in the proposal. Delays caused by traffic, road closures, weather or other circumstances beyond the control of JC Travel VIP may affect schedules.

8. Passengers and conduct

Passengers must follow the chauffeur’s reasonable safety instructions and use the seat belts. The transportation of items prohibited by law, or of bulky items not previously agreed, is not permitted.

9. Flights and third-party services

Helicopter flights and additional services, such as a bilingual guide, are subject to availability, weather conditions and operational authorizations. Some of these services may be provided by third-party suppliers under their own conditions.

10. Liability

JC Travel VIP provides its services with due care and professional diligence. To the extent permitted by applicable law, it is not liable for delays, changes or interruptions caused by events beyond its reasonable control, nor for indirect losses.

11. Personal data

Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update.
